Chris Wigley, CEO of Genomics England has been confirmed as a new day one keynote for Digital Health AI and Data.
The former McKinsey executive and AI specialist leads the remarkable work of Genomics England in advancing genomic medicine to help NHS doctors and clinicians diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses, like rare diseases and cancer.
The organisation evolved from the world’s largest national sequencing programme and helped the NHS become the first healthcare system to offer whole genome sequencing in routine care.
Their work has expanded into providing diagnostics and technology to enhance genomic healthcare and streamline NHS patient care, as well as enabling scientific research via its large genomic database.
